based on the following sites

PROS

  • The Galaxy View sports a large 18.4-inch screen and comes with a built-in stand and carrying handle.
  • It has a grid format home screen to provide quick access to streaming services.
  • The Galaxy View comes with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity, a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor, and 32GB or 64GB of storage.

CONS

  • The price is high for such a limited market.
  • The screen is relatively low resolution at 1920 x 1080 pixels, and the tablet has no HDMI ports to connect external devices.
  • The Galaxy View is too big to carry around. The two-position plastic kickstand feels cheap, and the tablet won't lie flat on a desk.
While it may be a flash in the pan for Samsung, the Galaxy View tablet is an entertainment device designed for games, video streaming, and visual experiences. The Android OS drives an 18.4-inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel screen and a pair of 4-watt speakers, and it includes a number of streaming apps built it. Lacking a TV tuner and HDMI input, you're tied to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, though the 1.6 GHz eight-core processor and 2GB of RAM provide decent performance for streaming. You can choose between 32GB or 64GB of storage, and the Micro SD card lets you add more if needed. The 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera works for video calls, but you'll do better with most phones for photos.

Not just a tablet, but not quite a television, the Samsung Galaxy View is somewhere between a conundrum and killer combo.

I think Samsung's premise here is a bit of a misfire. People already use their tablets at home more than any place else, and no one was really asking for a jumbo-sized one. Tablets are great because they have mobility and versatility when the need arises.

The overall design is, well, uninspiring. It's a hunk of plastic with a thin bezel and a Samsung logo.

Although it’s a large tablet, and will be immediately compared to the iPad Pro, the View is a very different product. Rather than productivity, the View is designed purely for content consumption, but Samsung could add more Pro-like features down the line.
