A solid product. Despite some flaws, it's still a good value.

PROS

  • The Relays Sport earbuds are lightweight and comfortable.
  • The sweat resistance and weight distribution make them suitable for running and jogging.
  • A special outdoor mode boosts the bass sounds to compete with ambient noise.

CONS

  • Some people struggle to keep these earbuds in their ears; some don't.
  • The buttons are hard to press.
  • Without an iPhone, the three-button remote option is useless, leaving only the single-button remote.
Sol Republic has solved many of the problems faced by people who exercise to music with the release of the Relays Sport earbuds. To keep the earbuds from falling to the ground when dislodged, Sol Republic added a clip that attaches to clothing. To avoid wear and tear, the company made the earbuds sweat resistant. It added a bass boost for outdoor use to compete with road noise. Although the Bluetooth earbuds are equipped with a FreeFlex wheel to keep the earbuds firmly in ears, the fit received mixed reviews. They have decent battery life and a built-in microphone. IOS users get their own three-button controls, while Android users must make do with only one button.

While the earphones do a good job of boosting what's there, they don't invent bass when it's not part of the mix.

But the sound quality was not where it should be and the buttons on the mic control were awful.

Let's just get right to the bad news: we tested these out primarily by taking them for a few trail runs and they didn't stay in our ears.

Since it features quick charging technology simply plugging it in for ten minutes can provide an hour’s worth of juice.

There is a slight punch to the bass when the "Bass Boost Mode" is activated, but the increase is still at pleasing levels.
