PROS

  • Its 23-megapixel sensor is fantastic outdoors or in well-lit areas.
  • An IP68 rating means you can get this phone wet without worrying about damaging your investment.
  • Most reviewers found its performance to be fast enough to meet their needs.

CONS

  • The X Performance has a built-in fingerprint sensor, but it's disabled for the U.S. market.
  • It is far too expensive for how much phone you're getting.
  • This is not the most elegantly designed phone on the market. It's, well, clunky.
Sony's Xperia X Performance is a phone that's not as well-equipped as the overseas variant, but it's still a decent smartphone here in the U.S. A waterproof housing encases a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 2,700 milliamp-hour battery, 5-inch 1080p display, and a 23-megapixel rear camera. The front-facing camera is no slouch at 13-megapixels.
