PROS

  • The battery lasts up to 15 hours on a single charge.
  • The build quality feels high-end even though it's plastic.
  • The Click 10 has a full HD display.

CONS

  • It remains to be seen how well the Atom processor handles full Windows 10.
The Toshiba Satellite Click 10 is a 2-in-1 laptop/tablet thanks to a detachable screen. Toshiba claims it's 30 percent smaller and 50 percent lighter than the average laptop, making for a highly toteable device. Yet it packs in many of the features you expect in a traditional laptop, such as a memory card reader, two USB 2.0 ports, a micro USB and micro HDMI port, and front and back-facing cameras. The device runs on Windows 10 and is powered by an Intel x5 processor. Its 10.1-inch display boasts full HD resolution at 1920 X 1200 pixels. Running on two batteries, the Satellite Click 10 promises to last an impressive 15 hours on a single charge.

Depending on the age of the desktop it’s replacing, the Satellite Click 10 may feel faster than what you’re used to, thanks to its combination of nimble Windows 10 and Intel’s Cherry Trail processor. Still, this is an entry-level PC, suitable for basic tasks but likely to bog down when used to handle heavy multitasking chores.

While I find you can generally get used to just about any keyboard layout after using it for a little while, I’m particularly concerned about the miniscule arrow keys in the lower right section. It’s pretty hard to tell them apart from one another by touch, which means you might need to look down at the keyboard in order to hit the up down, left, or right buttons.
