PROS

  • Engineered by JBL, these Bluetooth headphones sport quality speakers. You can expect your music to sound clear.
  • Provided you can find a good ear tip match for your ear canals, the headphones will stay put.
  • The zippered carrying case is impressive: All the accessories fit nicely inside; plus, it's lightweight and has a sporty texture.

CONS

  • Some reviewers complained about the overall fit; the earbud covers felt too large--and this discomfort adversely affected sound quality.
  • Depending on your tolerance level, if the cord rubs against something, you might be frustrated with the cord noise.
  • The bundle would benefit from more ear tip accessories to suit folks with small-sized ear canals.
These Under Armour headphones can be worn with the cord in front of your neck or behind it to suit your preferences while working out. The UA Headphones Wireless take advantage of JBL’s proprietary TwistLock technology--the earpieces have treads, and you twist the buds to secure them in place. The unit is sweat-proof and water-resistant. The company uses 5.8 mm dynamic drivers to deliver a rich sound, which will give your gym routine some serious oomph. The inline three-button microphone/remote allows you to control your tunes, adjust volume, and handle calls. The bundle includes a zippered carrying case, two sets of earpiece enhancers, and a micro USB charging cable.

Since these are sport headphones, it would have been nice to see a reflective strip on the wire like some of JBL’s other wireless offerings. Overall, the JBL UA Headphones Wireless are a fairly comfortable and sporty looking wireless in-ear pair of headphones, which also feature IPX5 sweat proof construction.

The UA Headphones Wireless are a great pair of headphones for exercising, but the sound leaves a lot to be desired. On the bright side, they’re one of the best headphones I’ve ever used in terms of keeping the ‘buds in your ears. Once you get the fitting right, they’ll only come out if you want them to.

Aside from the disappointing durability of the enhancers’ rubber material, the other hurdle for the JBL Under Armour Headphones Wireless is its price.... The sound quality is very good for fitness headphones, but this still doesn’t quite justify the price.

When I manually pushed the tips into my ears, I got a lot more bass and the headphones sounded good. With the more open fit I ended up with, though, they sounded flat and had little bass.
