Activite Popby Withings
PROS
- The Activite Pop looks just like a normal watch. It doesn't use the same premium materials as the Activite, but it costs $300 less.
- You can take the Activite Pop for a swim and not have to worry about water damage; the Activate Pop is waterproof to 50 meters.
- Unlike some devices that track sleep, the Activite Pop automatically detects when you're snoozing.
CONS
- The Activite Pop is slow to sync with the mobile app.
- Since it doesn't have any buttons or a crown, all interaction and settings--including setting the correct time--must be done through the Withings mobile app.
- Only a day and a half of data is stored on the Activite Pop, so you'll need to sync up constantly. Given its slow sync performance, that might get annoying fast.

In our tests, the Pop’s measurements were just as accurate as the original Activité’s. In fact, it actually synced with the app faster than the first Activité did, thanks to a firmware update on the watch itself.

Since the Activité and Activité Pop don't do much by themselves, it's up to their companion app -- Withings Health Mate -- to pick up some slack. Think of it as the display the watches themselves don't have.

If you enjoy earning rewards, you may like that the Withings app sends push notifications to your smartphone for certain accomplishments — such as when you've unlocked a badge (which might tell you that you've walked enough to have climbed the Eiffel Tower, for example).
There's literally no way you interact directly with the watch itself, which is kind of odd, and to me, off-putting.
