"Apps in the Kids Category may not include third-party advertising or analytics," the new guidelines read. Until now, only behavioral advertising tracking was restricted in the guidelines.
Heads up to parents though, this doesn't include any apps downloaded outside the Kids Category. Those apps can still collect online data from your kids, so it's still important to keep a close eye on which apps they're downloading.
