Can I See If My Facebook Friend Request Was Denied?
Whenever you send a friend request on Facebook, the Friend button on that person's profile page changes to "Friend Request Sent." And so that button will remain until the end of time, unless you cancel the request or your friend denies it. If you can't find that person's profile page, Facebook has a page that lists all of your pending friend requests in one place.
Log in to Facebook and go to your profile page. Click the **Friends** button located below your cover photo.
Click the **Find Friends* button. Alternatively, use this direct [link](https://www.facebook.com/find-friends/browser/).
Click the [**View Sent Requests**](https://www.facebook.com/friends/requests/?fcref=none&outgoing=1) link. All of your active friend requests are displayed on this one page.
Click the **See More Requests** link if you don't see your new friend's name. Keep clicking that link until you get to the end of the list. Requests aren't listed in alphabetical or chronological order, so keep clicking until you get to the end.The rule here is simple: if your request is listed here, your request wasn't denied.
Tips & Warnings
- Don't jump to conclusions when it comes to Facebook friend requests. If you can't find someone's profile page, you may have been blocked, or that person may have left Facebook. If a friend request is still pending, there's a possibility he hasn't seen it. Visit your own View Sent Requests page periodically to see any requests that you may have missed.
- Sending friend requests to people you don't know is frowned upon on Facebook. If someone reports you as a spammer, Facebook may suspend your permissions. If you want to keep tabs on someone you don't know, click the Follow button instead.
