How to Access My Norton Account

The Norton Account site allows you to manage Norton subscriptions, find product updates and reinstall products from one central online location. Some product features, such as Norton Online Backup, require Norton Account access as well. Use the website to review Norton Online Store purchase records, check your subscription renewal details, download previously installed products and recover product license information. To access the site, all you need is an active Internet connection, the correct email address and a password.

Step 1

Find the email address associated with your account. This is the one you used when you signed up to access your Norton online services. Business customers can contact a Norton customer care representatives at 800-721-3934 to recover the account's email address; others can send Norton Customer Support an email about the problem (see Resources).

Step 2

Recover a Norton Account password, if necessary, from the Norton Account login page at mynortonaccount.com. Click the "Sign In" link and select the "Recover it here" link. Place the email address associated with your Norton Account into the text field and click "Continue." Wait a few moments, then check your email program for a message from symantec.com. Use the temporary password you receive to log in to Norton Account.

Step 3

Use your the correct email address and password to log in to your account. Access your Norton Account by visiting mynortonaccount.com, then click the "Sign in" button and enter your Norton Account password and email address. Check the "Remember Me On This Computer" box if you plan on visiting the site frequently. Click the final "Sign In" button.
