How to Attach a Samsung LCD TV to a Stand

By William Pullman

Samsung LCD flat panel TVs are designed to hang on your wall or sit on the supplied television stand. In order to use the television stand, you need to properly connect it to your television. Samsung LCD TVs may come with a stand that has a rectangular base or a stand with an oval base. The instructions for installing the base are different depending upon the type of stand supplied with your television.

Things You'll Need

  • Phillips head screwdriver
  • Towel or blanket

Rectangular Stands

Step 1

Place the base of the stand on a flat surface and place the guide stand on top of the square piece raised above the stand base. The raised part of the guide stand should face the back of the base, and the holes on the guide stand should line up with the holes on the raised square section of the base.

Step 2

Insert screws in the four holes of the guide stand and tighten them with a Phillips head screwdriver. These screws are inserted vertically. Place a fifth screw in the horizontal hole in the back of the guide stand, where it connects to the raised square section.

Step 3

Slide your Samsung LCD TV onto the guide stand. The back portion of the guide stand slides into the slot on the bottom of the television.

Step 4

Place two screws in the upper holes where the television rests on the guide stand and two screws in the lower holes. Tighten the screws with a Phillips head screwdriver.

Oval Stands

Step 1

Place the Samsung LCD TV, screen facing up, on a flat, stable surface with the bottom of the television hanging over the edge. Lay a towel or blanket on the surface to prevent damage to the television. You cannot insert the stand if the television is not hanging over the edge of the table.

Step 2

Slide the stand into the slot located on the bottom of the television, taking care to fully insert the stand.

Step 3

Insert three screws in the bottom of the stand and tighten them with a Phillips head screwdriver. The screw holes are located in the center of the bottom of the stand.
