How to Change OneNote Hotkeys

OneNote is a computer software developed and marketed by Microsoft. It is designed to gather free-form information and be used as a multi-user collaboration tool. The "hotkeys," also known as keyboard shortcuts, let you execute a menu command or select button by pressing "ALT" and another key. If you prefer to change a specific hotkey in OneNote, use the Tools customization menu.


Step 1

Launch Microsoft OneNote from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.

Click the "Tools" menu tab and select "Customize."

Step 3

Click the "Commands" tab.


Step 4

Click the command to which you want to assign a different hotkey. Click "Modify Selection."


Step 5

Press the "Alt" key and a letter key of your choice to change the hotkey.

Step 6

Click "Close" to end the task.
