Scribus is an open source page layout application that may be downloaded from Scribus.net. Scribus is very versatile and can handle many page layout document types. There is no need to convert PDF files to another file type for Scribus. You can use the Scribus program to directly open PDF files for editing without any additional document transformations. In addition, you can create and save Portable Document Format (PDF) files using Scribus.

Step 1

Open Scribus.

Click the "File" option on the top navigation bar and then click "Open." The File Open dialog box launches.

Step 3

Click the "File Type" drop-down box and then click the "Portable Document Format (*.pdf)" option. Available documents are filtered to show only PDF documents.

Navigate to and click on the PDF document to open in Scribus.

Step 5

Click the "Open" button.
