How to Convert a VHD or VMDK File to TIB

Acronis TrueImage is a disk imaging software program that creates system backups and restores PC systems. It can restore previously captured disks to another disk complete with the structure and content of the original disk. It's format extension is .TIB. VHD files are files saved by disks managed on the Microsoft Hyper-V virtual server. VMDK files are files saved by disks managed on the VMware virtual server. Use Acronis TrueImage to convert VHD or VMDK files to .TIB files and restore them as well.

Step 1

Click "Start," "All Programs," "Acronis." Click "Acronis TrueImage" to open the Acronis program.

Click "Tools," "Import," to import your VHD or VMDK file for conversion.

Step 3

Click "Browse" and navigate to your VHD or VMDK file. Double-click the file and click "Import." Acronis will begin analyzing the file.

Click "Save Backup" and save the file to the location of your choice. Name your file and click "Save." The VHD or VMDK file will be converted to a .TIB file within the location you have designated.
