Netflix has begun moving beyond its original business model of mailing DVDs, and is rapidly stepping into on-line streaming content. And one way to add that capability to your home entertainment system is to use a PlayStation 3, or PS3, system to access the online content. The installation process is easy to access through your existing PlayStation Network account.
Step 1
Power up your PS3 and log into your PlayStation account. If you do not have a PlayStation account, follow the prompts to create one.
Step 2
Go to the PlayStation Network menu and move to the What's New section.
Step 3
Highlight the Netflix application and press the X button. The PlayStation Network will ask you to authenticate your account by entering your email and password.
Step 4
Highlight the Download button and hit X to proceed. The Netflix application will begin to load and install automatically.
Step 5
Exit the PlayStation store and go back to your main menu. Netflix will appear as one of your options.
