Before you can use Comcast universal caller ID, you must have a subscription to Comcast digital video service, have the Comcast XFINITY voice service and have the digital receiver that is compatible with the Comcast service. Once your system is set up and ready to watch, you can activate the caller ID using your Comcast remote control, receiver box and TV.
Step 1
Press the "Menu" button on your Comcast universal remote control. This will launch the "Quick Menu" on your TV screen.

Press the left or right arrow buttons on the remote control to navigate to "ITV." Click "Select" on the remote control. "Select" is the middle button surrounded by the left and right arrows and the up and down arrows.
Step 3
Use the up and down arrows on the remote control to highlight "Interactive TV" on the "ITV" screen. Press "Select" to see the caller ID screen.
Step 4
Use the up and down arrows on the remote control to highlight "Caller ID." Press "Select" on the remote control. The next screen will be displayed.
Step 5
Use the arrows to highlight "Caller ID is." If the caller ID is turned off, it will say "Off." Use the arrows on the Comcast remote control to switch the "Off" to "On." Press "Select" to save the changes.
