Internet browsers have improved tremendously during the past several years, with software adding more features to help Web surfers navigate the ever-growing Internet. One of the best features is the browser's history, allowing a user to go back to view previously visited websites. While it is easy to accidentally delete the history, it can be recovered.
Ways to Recover Deleted Internet Files on Internet Explorer
Open 'My Computer" and select "Documents and Settings."
Go to your "username" (the name you login to your computer with).
Click "Local Settings," then click "History." A list will populate, and you can search for the files you need.
It is not always possible to recover files once they are deleted. If you search for the missing files after they are deleted, you have a good chance of finding them. But if it has been some time and you have been browsing the Internet before realizing the files were deleted, then they have probably been replaced with other data and cannot be retrieved. If the missing files are not in the history folder, chances are they have been replaced and are permanently gone.
