How to Save Primavera As a PDF File

By Craig Witt

Primavera is a widely used program management application developed by Oracle. It allows users to track the time and costs associated with a range of project-related resources, including labor, materials and equipment. By default, Primavera does not allow you to save charts or reports to PDF format. To do so, you must download and install a PDF printer driver, then save your document as a PDF using the program's print function. Several freely available drivers can accomplish this task.

Step 1

Open a web browser and log on to the website for CutePDF Writer, doPDF or PDF995 (see Resources). All three packages contain PDF printer drivers and are available at no charge.

Step 2

Click the "Download" or "Free Download" link and save the program file to your computer when prompted. Look for the "Printer Driver" download link on the PDF995 website.

Step 3

Close any open programs.

Step 4

Launch the installer file you downloaded in Step 2. Follow the setup program's instructions to install the selected PDF printer driver on your computer.

Step 5

Open the document you want to print in Primavera.

Step 6

Click the "Print" icon near the top of the screen, or click "File" in the top menu bar and select "Print."

Step 7

Select the name of the PDF printer driver you installed in Step 4 (for example, "CutePDF Writer") from the list of available printers and click "OK."

Step 8

Give the PDF a file name, select a save location and click "Save" in the resulting window. Your document is saved to PDF format within seconds.
