When you want to give your child her own identity and independence online, an AOL Kids account is an option. When you establish an AOL Kids account, your parent account has control of the security settings to help keep your kids safe. When she is old enough, you can transition her account from a Kids account to an adult account and lift the security settings.
Log into the AOL account that is attached to your child's profile as the parent account. Navigate to the AOL Parental Controls page or enter keyword "Parental Controls."
Click your child's name in the "User Name" section of the screen.
Click the radio button beside the "General" option under the account type. Save the settings and then exit the screen.
