Saving favorites on your Internet Explorer browser allows you to save pages to your menu, allowing you to access pages you have saved with a single click. You can save any number of pages, organize them, place them in categories/folders and more. These favorites, or bookmarks, are saved on your computer so they can be used whenever you open your browser. This means that if you use another computer, you will not be able to access those favorites. However, there is a relatively straightforward method you can use to quickly transfer your favorites to any other computer you use.
Insert a flash drive or other form of portable, writable media into your computer. This is what you will use to transfer your favorites to another computer.
Click "Start," then "Run." In the box that appears, type "favorites" without quotes, then click "OK."
Press your "Ctrl" and "A" keys simultaneously to select all the files in that folder. Alternatively, you can left click and drag over the files, or click "Edit" and "Select All." It is important that every single file in this folder is selected.
Press the "Ctrl" and "C" keys simultaneously to copy all the files in the favorites folder. Alternatively, click "Edit," then "Copy."
Open "My Computer" and double-click on the portable media you've inserted to open its window. You will be copying the favorites files onto this device. Click "Edit" click "Paste," or press the "Ctrl" and "V" keys to make a copy of your favorites files onto your device.
Eject your device and plug it into the computer on which you want to transfer the new favorites. Perform the process above to open your favorites folder on the second computer. Also open your portable media device, as you will need to transfer the files from the device to your computer.
Select all the files on your flash drive that you copied onto it from your first computer, click "Edit" and "Copy," then move to the favorites folder on your second computer. Click "Edit," then "Paste" to place them all on your computer. You will now be able to access these favorites on your second computer.
