How to Unforward Calls

By Mandy Slake

Call forwarding is the feature that transfers your calls from one phone to another. Call forwarding can be useful if you will not have access to the phone for an extended period of time, such as going on vacation. Once you return, you will need to unforward your calls to receive calls on that phone. You can unforward your calls right from the telephone handset.

Step 1

Dial "*73" on the phone the calls are being forwarded from.

Step 2

Press the "Send" or "Flash" button if you are using a cell phone or cordless phone.

Step 3

Listen for the confirmation tone.

Step 4

Place a call to your phone number from another line to verify the call forwarding is deactivated.

Tips & Warnings

  • The process varies slightly depending on your carrier and the type of call forwarding you have enabled. If "*73" does not work, contact your carrier.
