The Yin Yang symbol is a popular, universally recognized character from the traditional Chinese Taoist philosophy meaning balanced opposites. With light, there is darkness, with good there is evil. Yin Yang is not an English character but can be added to a document like Microsoft Word or a webpage by using the English keyboard and various other ways.

Create a Yin Yang Symbol Outside of Microsoft Office

  • You can create the Yin Yang symbol as you are building websites or writing applications. To code the symbol in HTML you would type for decimal and for hex. There is no major difference in coding in hex or decimal. In the past, browsers would only support decimal or hex and programmers were locked into what the browsers would allow. The latest version browsers support either.
