How to Restore an iTunes Playlist. iTunes is known for being one of the most convenient and widely-used music libraries for Mac and Windows computers. Users have the option to personalize their own iTunes playlist with their music library, which is a great way to organize your library. To restore an iTunes playlist, follow these tips:


Step 1

Turn on your computer and load iTunes. It is best to close out any other applications to make sure the program can run correctly.

Click the File tab in the toolbar at the top of iTunes. Select Import. Pressing Crtl, Shift and O at the same time will also work to select Import.

Step 3

View the Import window that will pop up. Go through your files and locate the exported playlist files you wish to restore.


Step 4

Choose and open the selected playlists. Usually these are located on your desktop.

Step 5

Repeat the previous steps for any other playlists you wish to restore. These should appear on your iTunes side panel under Playlists once they have been restored.
