Boston Dynamics' SpotMini is a robot dog that has some serious dance skills. In its latest YouTube video, the robot shows off its moves while dancing to Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk," and it puts Bruno Mars and pretty much every human to shame.
The robot doesn't just have the moves, it's also on beat and limber, allowing it to twerk, moon dance, and, you know, do the robot.
In case you're wondering how a robot comes to be able to move like that, Boston Dynamics explains that SpotMini has the "ability to pick up and handle objects using its 5 degree-of-freedom arm and beefed up perception sensors. The sensor suite includes stereo cameras, depth cameras, an IMU, and position/force sensors in the limbs. These sensors help with navigation and mobile manipulation."
Robots are slowly taking over the world—one dance move at a time.
