Registering an LG television can be beneficial, as it allows you to more easily seek technical support if any issue arises with the product. Depending on the warranty options chosen when the television was initially purchased, it may be necessary to register before being allowed to make a warranty claim. LG also offers product updates, discounts and tips to help customers effectively use the television to customers who register their televisions. If you cannot remember whether your TV has been registered, simply register again, as LG will not allow the same unit to be registered twice.
Open your computer's web browser and type "lg.com" (without quotes) in the address bar.
Click the North American continent and select "USA."
Hover your mouse over the "Support" link in the left sidebar and click "Register a Product."
Click the "TV, Audio, & Video" icon in the categories box.
Choose "Televisions" from the drop-down menu.
Select the type of TV you own.
Choose the TV model number from the list displayed. If your TV's model number is not displayed, type it in the box provided. If you do not know your TV's model number, it can be found on the back of your television set.
Type your name, address, email address, phone number and the date of purchase in the boxes provided.
Type the television's serial number in the Serial Number box. The serial number can be found on a sticker on the back panel of your television set.
Click the "Complete Registration" button. If your television has already been registered, you will receive an error message stating that it has been registered. If not, you will be redirected to a confirmation page where you can choose whether to register the television.
If your television has already been registered, but you do not know your confirmation number or other information needed for a warranty claim, you can contact an official LG customer service representative to help you directly with your problem at 800-243-0000.
