You can free up space in your Yahoo! Mail account by deleting images and the messages that accompany them. While most image formats are compressed, and thus usually not larger than 10 megabytes, if you allow these images to build up your space may dwindle quickly. What's worse, you may find yourself bombarded with images you do not care about. With Yahoo! Mail you can quickly locate attachments such as images and delete them.
Log in to Yahoo! Mail at "mail.yahoo.com."
Click the blue "My Attachments" link on the left-hand side of the page.
Point the mouse cursor to an image you would like to delete and then click the blue email subject line to the right of it.
Click the gray "Delete" button at the top of the page to delete the message and the image.
If you do not want to lose the text that accompanies the image, simply copy and paste it into a word processing program or in an email addressed to yourself.
