Wireless headphones are designed to receive wireless signals from an external device, such as a television, computer or even a media player. These headphones have a wireless transmitter that sends the audio signal to the headphones. This transmitter connects to any device that creates audio, making it possible to directly listen to a DirecTV satellite receiver box on your wireless headphones.
Step 1
Plug the RCA ends of the adapter into the "Audio Out" ports on the back end of the DirecTV satellite receiver.

Plug the wireless transmitter into the 3.5mm end of the adapter.
Step 3
Power on the wireless transmitter and the wireless headphones.
Step 4
Turn on the DirecTV satellite receiver. The audio from the receiver will now play on the connected headphones.
