How to Remove Ads From My MSN
Internet users have become accustomed to advertisements found on many websites. With MSN Messenger 2011--the newest version of MSN Live Messenger--Microsoft now includes advertisements on its instant messaging client, as well. You might find these ads intrusive and wish to turn them off, but that's not possible within the client. Rather, a third-party patch, dubbed A-Patch, allows you to turn off all advertisements within MSN Live Messenger.
Navigate to the A-Patch website. Click "Downloads" at the top of page. Select the newest version of A-Patch to download. The newest version will always be at the top of the list.
Click "Save As." Choose a location on your hard drive that is easy to remember, such as your Desktop, to save the file to. Double-click the installation file and follow the prompts to install A-Patch.
Double-click the A-Patch icon on your desktop to open the program.
Click the boxes next to both "Remove Advertisement" entries. Choose "Apply." A-Patch will automatically configure these changes onto MSN Live Messenger.
Open MSN Live Messenger to double-check that the ads have been removed.
