A LG high-definition television (HDTV) has several options available to you to get the picture you think looks best. One option is the brightness, which determines how bright the picture on the screen is. Generally, HDTV's provide better images with higher brightness, so you may want to raise your television's brightness setting. Fortunately, doing so is not a difficult task.
Step 1
Press the "Menu" button on the remote.

Select the "Picture" option.
Step 3
Highlight the "Brightness" option and press the right arrow key on the remote to turn up the brightness. Continue to do this until you are satisfied with the brightness level.
