The Sony Bravia series of televisions has a parental lock that allows you to prevent children from watching programs beyond their age level. You can set the TV to block programs based on the age rating, or you can block entire channels. When you set up the parental lock, the TV prompts you to set up a password. To unlock the TV, you need to enter the password. You can change or reset the password through the TV's menus.
Press the "HOME" button on the remote control to access the main menu on your Bravia.
Highlight "Settings" and scroll down to "Parental Lock."
Press the "+" button and type your password if prompted. If you have forgotten your password, enter "4357." This will clear your password so you can reset it.
Select "Rating" and set it to "Off."
Press the "HOME" or "RETURN" key to exit the menu.
If you just want to unlock the Bravia temporarily to watch a program, press "ENT" and type your password. The TV will remain unlocked until you turn it off.
