Google Travel Adds COVID-19 Info to Help You Plan Trips Accordingly

Travel plans have been turned upside down for most people as COVID-19 cases continue to rise. Google has updated its travel tools to help users stay informed and to offer guidance in navigating traveling during a pandemic.


The new features within the travel tool show active travel advisories, as well as travel trends, including local COVID-19 case counts, the percentage of hotels that have availability, and the number of flights operating to a specific area.

There's also an option to search hotels, vacation rentals, and flights based on whether or not they offer increased flexibility, free cancelations, and full refunds. Since this time is so uncertain, free cancelations are pretty imperative.
