How Do I Hook Up PIP With an LG LCD TV?

By Edmund Lukavics

The picture-in-picture (PIP) setting featured on many LG LCD televisions allows you to view images from two different input sources, such as your cable TV and DVD, at once. The two signals are processed through your TV's dual tuner and displayed by allotting half of your television screen to each image. The feature is accessed and configured using your remote control.

Step 1

Turn on your TV. Press the "PIP Input" button on your remote control. This will give you access to the PIP configuration menu.

Step 2

Cycle through the main input sources with the "PIP Input" button. When you have the desired input source highlighted, press "Select."

Step 3

Cycle through the secondary input sources, and press "Select" to choose the one you want.

Step 4

Display the PIP windows by pressing the "PIP" button on your remote. This will cause your television to display the input sources you selected.
