How to Configure Media Player Classic
Media Player Classic is not a Microsoft product: It may resemble Windows Media Player, but it's actually a free, stand-alone software product released in 2002 by a Hungarian software developer. Media Player Classic sports a simple, intuitive interface and has several unique features, such as frame-by-frame playback and even a "Live" mode that displays output from webcams and TV tuners. Multiple configuration options allow you to tweak the player and customize it according to your preferences.
Open Media Player Classic and click "View." Select "Options" to open the "Options" window. Click "Player" on the left side of the screen to display the "Player" options.
Click "Use the Same Player for Each Media File" or "Open a New Player for Each Media File Played." If you choose the second option, a new Media Player Classic window will open whenever you open a media file.
Put a check mark by "Launch Files in Full Screen" if you want all files to play in full-screen mode.
Locate the "Title Bar" section and select one of the title bar options. These options include "Display Full Path" and "File Name Only." The options determine the text that you see in the player's title bar. The default is "File Name Only."
Click "Always on Top" to make the player appear on top of other windows. Click "Tray Icon" if you want the player to appear in the system tray near the clock when you minimize the player.
Place check marks beside other options in the "Player" section to enable them. These options include "Remember Last Window Position" and "Keep History of Recently Opened Files."
Click "Playback" to display the "Playback" options.
Hold down the left mouse button and drag the "Volume" and "Balance" sliders to adjust their values. The "Balance" slider allows you to adjust the volume mix between your left and right speakers or headphones.
Enter a number greater than "1" in the "Play" text box if you want media files to play more than once. Click "Repeat Forever" to make media files repeat.
Click "OK" to apply your changes.
