The UDF and CDFS file formats are used to burn CDs and DVDs. The UDF format allows you to modify data, while the CDFS format allows you to play discs on CD/DVD players. If you want to convert the data on a UDF disc into the CDFS format, you must first copy the contents to your hard drive and then use the disc-burning utility in Windows Explorer to perform the conversion to a new disc.
Insert a UDF disc into your computer's DVD burner.
Click the "Open Folder to View Files" option.
Press the "Ctrl" and "A" keys to select all files on the UDF disc.
Right-click your desktop and select "Paste" to copy the files to the hard disk.
Eject the UDF disc and insert a new blank disc.
Select the "Burn Files to Disc" option.
Use the "Disc Title" box to name the blank disc.
Select the option labeled "With a CD/DVD Player," and click "Next."
Drag all the files that you copied to your desktop into the Windows Explorer window.
Click the "Burn to Disc" option on the Windows Explorer toolbar to burn the files using the CDFS file format.
