The Windows administrator user name has complete control over the network, so the network administrator who has control of this account keeps the account safe by changing the password often. If you forget the password, you are unable to view the password, but you can reset it to your own value to recover the account if you are unable to log in. You reset your domain administrator password using another account with administrator privileges.
Step 1
Log in to your admin workstation with your user name and password that has administrator privileges. Click the Windows "Start" button and type "cmd" into the text box. Press "Enter" to open your command line prompt.

Type "net user /?" to view all your options for the "net user" command. This command lets you quickly change the administrator password.
Step 3
Type "net user administrator * /domain" and press "Enter." Change "domain" with your domain network name.
Step 4
Type the new password for the administrator. You are asked to type it a second time to confirm that it was typed correctly the first time.
