Isolation mode in Adobe Illustrator can be helpful when you want to edit only a single part of an illustration without changing other parts. Since double-clicking on an object will sometimes accidentally get you into isolation mode, it's helpful to know how to quickly get out of isolation mode.

Using the Keyboard

Select the isolated object in Adobe Illustrator.

Press the "Escape" key once to get out of isolation mode.

Press the "Escape" key for each additional isolated object.

Using the Mouse

Step 1

Move the cursor over the object that is isolated, and click the right mouse button.
