Like most other ink brands, HP's ink cartridges can be expensive. Due to this reason, you may prefer third-party ink-refilling kits to refill your ink cartridges. One of the problems with ink refills is that your printer may not recognize the added ink. As a result, you may see low ink-level warnings on your printer. You can reset these levels by applying tape to the contact points of your cartridge.
Step 1
Open the printer cover to remove the ink cartridge from the printer.
