How to Set Up a Sony Sound Bar

The Sony Sound Bar and Subwoofer gives you surround sound without actually placing speakers around the room. This is going to save you from connecting wires throughout your home. The speakers inside the sound bar are able to emulate rear speakers to make it seem as if you are surrounded by the sound and music from the television. The connection and setup should not take any longer than a few minutes, since the speaker set consists of only two pieces.

Step

Place the Sony Sound Bar above the television, if at all possible. If you do not have an entertainment center, you may need to locate the sound bar directly in front of the television or below it.

Step

Connect the subwoofer with the Sony Sound Bar. There is an included wire that is inserted into the back of the of the subwoofer. The other end of the cable is inserted into the connecting port on the rear of the Sony Sound Bar.

Step

Step

Plug the other end of the RCA cables into the "Audio Out" port on the back of the TV. If using an HDMI cable, plug the HDMI cable running from the Sony Sound Bar into an HDMI audio port.
