The Adobe Service Manager program is installed with certain Adobe products such as DreamWeaver and Photoshop, CS4 and CS5 versions. Adobe Service Manager starts during Windows startup, and communicates with the Adobe Extension Manager to download and install extensions and updates to Adobe products. If you want to stop or disable the Adobe Service Manager, you can use the Microsoft System Configuration Utility to prevent it from starting during Windows startup.
Click "Start" to show the Search input box.
Type "msconfig" (without quotes) into the input box and press "Enter." The Microsoft System Configuration Utility launches.
Click the "Startup" tab.
Uncheck the check box in front of the "Adobe Service Manager" entry.
Click "Apply" and then click "OK."
Reboot the computer. A notification will appear that the utility is running. Check the check box at the bottom of the System Configuration Utility menu to hide the utility during startup.
