Are all your contacts saved to your SIM card?

Updating contacts to a SIM card is a relatively easy process that requires some knowledge of phone apps and Menu settings. By saving your contacts to your SIM card, you can immediately transfer your contacts to a new or second cell phone, making each saved contact immediately available. It is not necessary to contact your cell phone provider to update your SIM card, you can do it directly from your cell phone.

Updates from a Main Menu

Open the "Settings" application on the interface of your phone's main menu.

Go to "Phonebook" settings, which, in some cases, you can access directly from your phone book application.

Scroll down or press, "Save New Contacts To."

Step 4

Select, "SIM." You other option is to save your contact to your phone.

Step 5

Press "Save" to update your SIM card with this and other new contacts.

Step 1

Press the phone book application to access your phone book.

Press "Create Contact," "Add New Contact" of a variation thereof.

Enter the contact's first and last name or alias along with an optional fax, home or office number and email address.

Press "Save" to update your SIM card with this and other new contacts.
