The Notes app on your iPhone enables you to jot down or dictate your thoughts on the go. Afterward, you can view your notes on your computer and other Apple devices, and store them within IMAP mail accounts, such as iCloud, Google, Yahoo, AOL and Exchange. Because your iPhone notes arrive as emails in your mail accounts or Outlook, you can't use typical word-processing tools to edit them on a PC. Instead, you'll need a cloud-and-app combo. Of the many options available, none work as seamlessly and straightforwardly with your iPhone as the Notes app and iCloud.
