Amazon has a new feature called Song ID that allows the Alexa voice assistant to announce the name and artist of whatever song you're playing before it begins, which is pretty great if you're someone who constantly asks Alexa for more info on songs.
Song ID is only available with Amazon Music, so if you use any other music service on your Echo device, you won't have an option to use the feature. Perhaps another way for the company to get you to shell out more money.
The most important part of the new feature is that it's optional. To turn it on, say "Alexa turn on Song ID." If you decide you're over Alexa making an announcement before every song (it does get somewhat distracting), simply say "Alexa turn off Song ID."
