Amazon has finally joined other popular streaming services in offering user profiles for Prime Video. Each Amazon Prime account can add up to five more profiles, in addition to the default profile that comes with the account, where users can manage watch lists, track viewing progress, and get personalized recommendations.
In other words, when you're seven episodes deep on a TV show, your progress won't be lost when someone in your family decides to start watching the same show from the beginning.
Kid profiles can also be added, giving parents the ability to limit the content to TV shows and movies that are suitable for kids 12 and under.
According to Engadget, Amazon says the new feature is currently available in India and certain countries in Asia and Africa. The worldwide rollout is happening in phases, so it should reach your account soon—hopefully during this quarantine period when everyone's home and watching endless Amazon Prime Video.
