Instagram DMs Have Finally Made It to Desktop

Instagram has finally made its direct message feature available on desktop, which is perfect timing for those of us working from home who don't want to switch back and forth from the computer to the phone when we're taking "work breaks."

The social media platform began rolling out DMs for desktop back in January and announced last week on Twitter that the much-anticipated new feature is now ready for everyone. (Can't help but lol at the irony of Instagram making announcements on Twitter.)

Sending a DM through the web works exactly the same as it does on the mobile app. The icon for messages is in the upper right corner of the page (it looks sort of like a paper airplane). When you click on it, you can scroll through old and new messages, as well as reply and create new ones to people you follow.

Just one more way to stay connected to your people through this weird time.
