At the Berlin booth, RingConn is demonstrating vascular-trend analysis, continuous health tracking, and the ring's various finishes and sizes (RingConn/PR Newswire, two days ago). The pitch is continuous, passive monitoring, heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, activity, stress, sleep-breathing signals, and women's-health metrics, synced to an app designed to surface trends over days and weeks rather than single readings.
RingConn calls vascular-trend analysis "the most important new feature" of Gen 3, according to the same release. That's the company's own framing, not an independent assessment, but it shows where the marketing weight is being put this week.
On hardware, Gen 3 weighs 2.5 to 3.5 grams depending on size and finish, carries an IP68 water-resistance rating, and comes in 10 sizes and five finishes (RingConn/PR Newswire, two days ago). RingConn's blog later summarized a Digital Trends feature that described the ring as a passive, screen-free alternative to a smartwatch (RingConn blog, two months ago).

How vascular-trend analysis works, and where the evidence runs out
Setting up the feature takes some effort. Users complete a short survey and enter cuff-based blood-pressure readings during the first 24 hours to calibrate the system, after which the ring's sensors track changes in vascular strain over time (RingConn/PR Newswire, two days ago; Gadgets & Wearables).
Once calibrated, Gadgets & Wearables reported that the ring automatically samples for vascular-trend data roughly every 15 to 20 minutes during the day and night, whenever the wearer is in a relaxed state. Separately, an on-demand manual reading, which asks the wearer to sit still, takes about 30 seconds to complete, according to the same review. Those are two distinct measurements, and the review doesn't specify how long each automatic background sample takes to run.
RingConn is careful about what the feature is meant to do. The company describes the ring as "designed to support awareness of long-term wellness and lifestyle patterns, not to replace clinical judgment or act as a standalone medical device" (RingConn blog, two months ago).
None of the sources reviewed for this article provides a clinical validation study, a published error range, or an independent laboratory assessment of the vascular-trend feature specifically. RingConn's blog says a Digital Trends feature published two months ago included commentary from Dr. Seth S. Martin, a Johns Hopkins cardiologist, on the ring's approach to cardiovascular data. RingConn Gen 3 health tracking: how the numbers check out
The parts of Gen 3 that have been independently measured hold up well. Gadgets & Wearables reported step counts consistently within a 3 to 4 percent margin of error against manual counts and other devices, a real-world benchmark rather than a clinical accuracy study (Gadgets & Wearables).
Over a 14-day comparison, the same reviewer found Gen 3's resting heart rate (48 bpm) and HRV (36 ms) tracked closely with a Garmin Forerunner (47 bpm, 38 ms) and a Whoop band (51 bpm, 33 ms), with correlation reaching 94 percent against Whoop and 91 percent against Garmin. That two-week window is long enough to show whether the devices generally move together night to night, but it's one reviewer's short comparison, not a clinically controlled study, and it doesn't establish accuracy against a medical-grade reference.
On battery and storage, Gadgets & Wearables rated Gen 3 for 11 to 14 days with vibration switched off, dropping to 10.5 to 13 days with vibration on, a slight refinement of RingConn's own "up to 14 days" figure. The same review noted offline storage has grown to 10 days, up from seven days on the previous generation.

Truthful Reviews ranked Gen 3 first among 13 competing smart rings, crediting sleep tracking "as precise as a good smartwatch," measured battery life of 11.5 days against a 14-day rating, and no subscription fee as advantages over Oura, according to the outlet's comparison (Truthful Reviews, last month). The same outlet noted trade-offs: the ring is chunkier than its main rival and tracks only seven sports.
What IFA cannot prove
RingConn's booth demo lets attendees walk through the calibration steps and see the app's trend interface in person, alongside the company's ShowStoppers presence (RingConn/PR Newswire, two days ago). Availability continues to expand through RingConn's own site, with Amazon and TikTok Shop rollouts planned in phases, per the company's launch announcement (RingConn/PR Newswire).
None of that settles the question that actually matters for the vascular-trend feature. A trade-show demo can show how the calibration survey works and what the app displays once it's running. It can't show whether those trend lines correspond reliably with cuff-based blood-pressure readings over weeks or months, in a range of bodies and conditions, the way a published clinical comparison would.
That test hasn't happened yet, or at least hasn't been published anywhere in the material reviewed for this article. Until an independent lab or peer-reviewed study takes it on, the feature stays where RingConn itself has placed it: a wellness-awareness tool calibrated against a person's own cuff readings, not a diagnostic device and not a substitute for one.
