How to Add Page Numbers in PageMaker 7

Page numbers add polish and organization to any publication. In Adobe PageMaker 7, page numbers are rather easy to add, but the function is a little tricky to find the first time. Once activated, page numbers magically appear throughout the chosen project.

Step 1

Open a project in PageMaker 7.

Select the text function from the toolbox. It looks like a capital T.

Step 3

Click on the L/R function in the lower-left corner of the screen. It is located underneath the ruler.

Click on the master page where the page numbers will be placed and press "Ctrl+Alt+P." The page number should appear.

Click on the opposite master page where the page numbers will be placed and press "Ctrl+Alt+P." The page number should appear.

Step 6

Click on the page number next to the L/R function, and the page numbers should all show. As more pages are added to the project, the page numbers will automatically appear.
