How to Ban an Artist From One of Your Stations on Pandora.com. Pandora suggests songs that are musically similar to an artist or song title you've chosen to create a station. To narrow a station's definition so that it is closer to what you want, you can eliminate or ban a particular artist from any or all of your stations with a couple of clicks of your mouse.

Step 1

Go to the Pandora.com Web site (see Resources below) and log in.

Click on a station you've created. As Pandora.com plays music, run the mouse over the icon of a song that you don't like and give it a 'Thumbs Down' vote. Two 'Thumbs Down' votes automatically bans that artist from that station.

How to Ban an Artist Who is Part of Your Station Definition

Step 1

Find the station on the Pandora Tuner and click the triangle next to it.

Step 2

Select 'Edit This Station.'

Step 3

View the list of 'Artist Seeds' on your station page. Find one of the artists you want to remove, check the box next to it and click 'Remove Checked.' You may also delete 'Song Seeds,' 'Thumbs Up' and 'Thumbs Down' votes the same way. You must edit one section at a time. Once you remove a 'Thumbs Down' vote, these songs will be put back into the rotation of songs Pandora suggests for your station.
