Generally, high-definition (HD) audio/visual devices, such as Blu-ray players or certain video game systems, connect to televisions through a high-definition cable, such as an HDMI cable. If you have a television with no available HDMI ports, you can still connect the HD device to your television by converting your HDMI cable to an RCA signal. To do this, you must build a makeshift cable using the original cables and a converter box.
