When you use a network to access the Internet, the network administrator can decide what sites you can and can't access. If the administrator doesn't want you to access your email account, he can block your IP address for opening the site. However, if you use a proxy server, you can hide your IP address from the administrator's firewall, allowing you to access your email account, such as Hotmail.
Launch the Internet browser on your computer, and make your way to a proxy site. Some of the proxy sites you can visit are "Proxy.org," "Proxysite.org" and "BestProxySite.com."

Close out any advertisements that may load, and log into your email account. More than likely, more advertisements will load up when you open your account.
Click "Inbox" to view all of the new messages you have in your email. Once you are done, click "Sign Out" in the upper right corner of the screen.
