How to Connect a Canon MP210 Wirelessly

By Jason Taetsch

The Canon MP210 does not feature built-in wireless capability, so to connect it wirelessly you need a USB-enabled router to join a Wi-Fi network. This allows you to use the Canon MP210 to print, scan or copy from any of the computers on the network in your home or office. Windows already includes the necessary utilities to configure the networked printer into your operating system.

Things You'll Need

  • USB-enabled router
  • USB cable

Step 1

Turn off the router and the Canon.

Step 2

Insert one end of the USB cable into the USB port on the rear of the Canon MP210.

Step 3

Plug the other end into the USB port on the rear panel of your router. Turn on the printer and router to establish a USB connection.

Step 4

Click the Windows orb on a computer on your network and click "Devices and Printers." Click "Add a Printer" in the menu that opens. Click the "Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer" entry and click "Next."

Step 5

Scroll through the list of devices and click the "Canon MP210" option. Click "Next," then click the "Install Driver" button to configure the Canon wirelessly to your computer.
