MP4 (MPEG-4 Part 14 file format), is a multimedia container format that is a standard part of MPEG-4. It is used to store digital video and audio stream files, and it can also be used to store subtitles and still images. SCR is a screensaver file extension used by the Microsoft Windows operating system.
To convert an MP4 file into a SCR screensaver file, a conversion program must be downloaded and used. Several of these are available online as free-trial downloads.

Step 1
Download and install My Screensaver Maker 4.68.
Step 2
Run the conversion program on the desktop. Select "Video Screensaver" from the left-hand menu.

Click on the open folder icon. Select an MP4 file for conversion. Click "Open."
Step 4
Click the "Setup File" button. Select "(*.scr)" in the "File Type:" section. Select a target destination for the SCR file. Click "OK."

Click the "Screensaver" button to begin conversion.

Step 1
Download and install MyVideoConverter.
Step 2
Run the conversion program on the desktop. Click the "Add" button. Select an MP4 file for conversion. Click "Add."

Click "Target File" under the "Properties" right-hand menu. Select ".scr," then click "OK."

Click the "Settings" button. Click "Browse" in the "Output" area. Select a target destination for the converted file. Click "OK."

Click the "Start" button (green arrow icon) at the top of the main window to begin the conversion process.
